The Citizen Journalism Academy (CJA) is India’s pioneering training and certification institution dedicated to creating a nationwide network of ethical, skilled, and purpose-driven citizen journalists who document, amplify, and catalyze positive transformation across communities. Through rigorous training, mentorship from seasoned professionals, and integration with the 100xBHARAT Mission Movement, we are engineering a paradigm shift in how India tells its own story, from problem-obsessed to solution-focused, from passive consumption to active creation, from institutional gatekeeping to democratic storytelling.

To empower 10,000+ conscious citizens across India with world-class journalism training, ethical frameworks, and sustainable livelihood pathways – transforming them into certified City Journalists who document grassroots innovations, amplify community solutions, and create exponential positive impact through truthful, solution-oriented storytelling.

1. DEMOCRATIZE JOURNALISM Breaking down the barriers that have kept storytelling power concentrated in corporate media houses and metropolitan newsrooms. Making professional-grade journalism training accessible to everyone, regardless of age, educational background, geographic location, or economic status.
2. ELEVATE TRUTH & ETHICS Establishing citizen journalism as a credible, ethical alternative to sensationalist mainstream media. Building a movement where accuracy, verification, fairness, and community accountability are non-negotiable foundations, not optional add-ons.
3. AMPLIFY THE UNHEARD Systematically documenting the 94% of community-level innovations, transformations, and solutions that currently go unreported. Giving voice to grassroots heroes, community innovators, and ordinary citizens doing extraordinary work.
4. CREATE SUSTAINABLE LIVELIHOODS Ensuring citizen journalism isn’t just volunteer work but a viable, dignified, purpose-driven career. Providing multiple income pathways so graduates can earn Rs. 50,000-1,50,000+ monthly while serving their communities.
